Hi there👋

This is Tuhin and Ishraq and we started wpRigel!

We’ve been part of the WordPress community for years- building products, marketing them, and helping some of the industry’s most successful plugins grow.

Between us, we’ve worked with household WordPress brands (weDevs, BrainstormFource and more), developed complex solutions used by hundreds of thousands of site owners, and learned firsthand what makes tools truly valuable versus what just adds noise.

But the more we worked in this space, the more we noticed a pattern: site owners kept choosing between expensive monthly subscriptions to SaaS platforms or settling for WordPress plugins that just didn’t deliver the flexibility and experience modern sites need.

Want polls and surveys? Sign up for an external service. Need better dashboard navigation? Most tools add complexity instead of solving it. Looking for automation? You’re juggling multiple disconnected services.

It didn’t make sense. WordPress is already powerful- why should people have to leave it or pay recurring fees just to do things that should work natively?

The Conversation That Started It All

“Hey, let’s build a business. We know the problems, know what’s missing. We can actually help people make their work easier.”

This conversation back in 2024 turned into dozens more. We talked about the tools we wished existed. We challenged each other on whether we could really build something better- not just different, but genuinely more useful.

The answer kept coming back yes.

So we started wpRigel. Not as an A/B test or a quick experiment, but as a real commitment to building WordPress tools the way they should be: native, powerful, and designed to give users full control without the SaaS tax.

Creating wpRigel

wpRigel was born with a simple but powerful goal: To make life easier for WordPress users, developers, and marketers by creating easy but powerful tools without unnecessary complexity.

No monthly SaaS fees eating into your budget.

No shortcodes, clunky interfaces, or features that promise the world but deliver half-baked solutions.

Our First Plugin- Pollify Poll Creator

Interestingly, Pollify wasn’t our original first pick.

When we kicked off, we were actually deep into building a productivity tool- something inspired by the Spotlight experience on Mac.

The goal was to bring that same lightning-fast navigation to WordPress. We called it Commandify, and it was halfway there.

But then we saw similar ideas pop up; CommandUI launched with a splash, and WP Spotlight was also trying to capture attention.

We shifted gears.

We turned to Pollify, which was already under development. You know there’s always a space for a truly Gutenberg-native survey and polling solution. Something simple, flexible, and built inside WordPress, not on top of it.

No shortcodes. No SaaS dependency. No nonsense.

Pollify got approved on the WordPress repository. And with that momentum, we just launched Pollify Pro, which added everything from NPS voting and open-text feedback, to like/dislike, Applause, up/down reactions, advanced export tools, and IP blocking.

While many site owners rely on Crowdsignal (a SaaS tool for WordPress) we wanted to bring the entire polling and survey experience inside WordPress itself. Even better, we’ve done it at less than half the cost.

What We’re Building Next

We’ve been quietly refining Commandify ever since. Because we knew the tools on the market didn’t scratch the surface of what we had planned.

While others focused on shortcuts and quick toggles, Commandify is being shaped into a true WordPress productivity suite; built not just for regular admins or bloggers, but especially for WooCommerce store owners, membership sites, learning platforms, and agencies.

With it, WordPress users will finally experience what a true “spotlight-style” command center can feel like fast, universal, and smart!

And yes, we’re still not done.

We’re also in the early stages of developing an All-in-One Automation Tool, built to connect plugins, automate tasks, and eliminate repetitive workflows; all from inside WordPress.
