Control Voting Rules, Timing, and Confirmation Messages in Pollify
Pollify gives you complete control over how people vote, how long a poll stays open, and what happens after submission. These settings make your poll feel more dynamic, responsive, and secure — all without needing custom code.
Let’s explore the key voting logic and interaction controls built into Pollify’s free version.
Set Poll Status: Open, Close, or Close After #
From the block settings panel in the editor, you’ll see a Status dropdown. You can choose:
- Open – The poll is live and accepting votes.
- Close – Stops voting immediately. Visitors can no longer vote.
- Close After – Set a future time when the poll should automatically close. Great for time-limited surveys, giveaways, or one-day polls.
This simple setting lets you manage poll visibility and engagement without needing to monitor it 24/7.
Choose What Happens After the Poll Closes #
Under the same settings panel, decide what users see when voting ends:
- Show Results – Display final poll outcomes on the front end.
- Hide Poll – Remove the poll completely from view.
- Show Poll Message – Display a custom message like “Thanks for participating” or “Poll closed. Stay tuned!”
This helps manage user experience and expectations, even after a poll has ended.
Add a Confirmation Message After Voting #
When a user submits a vote, Pollify lets you decide what happens next:
- View Message – Show a thank-you or custom note immediately.
- View Result – Display the current results right after submission.
You can use these to encourage feedback, prompt further action, or simply reassure the voter that their response was counted.
Control Vote Frequency #
Pollify supports both single and multiple voting options:
- Logged-in users are tracked by their user ID.
- Visitors are tracked by IP address.
From the block’s Response Settings, choose whether each user/IP can vote once or multiple times. This helps prevent spam voting and gives you accurate insights, especially for feedback polls or contests.
Enable Checkbox Selection Style #
Use the toolbar to choose between:
- Single Checkbox – Users select only one answer.
- Multiple Checkboxes – Users can choose more than one option.
Perfect for both preference polls (pick your favorite) and feedback surveys (select all that apply).
Why Pollify Handles Voting Logic Better Than Crowdsignal #
Crowdsignal’s voting rules rely heavily on its external interface, and advanced configurations often require a Pro upgrade. Pollify, on the other hand, offers all core voting controls natively — right inside the block editor. That means fewer surprises, cleaner workflows, and more flexibility for WordPress users.
